I'd at least ditch the aluminum arms... especially since RPM now makes savage arms. Then when you smack into something, your not nearly as likely as bending a hinge pin in your aluminum bulks.

whats the difference between RPM arms and alloy arms? sorry :)

RPM makes great A-Arms that can take a lot of abuse. Different colors also available. Anything alloy is aluminum.

Hhmm ok thanks

RPM is a telfon/delrin type plastic. It's a "slick" self lubricating type plastic that is rigid enough to do the job, but typically flexes a lot more than the parts they replace. Which usually leads to a lot less breakage of arms/towers, fewer bent hinge pins, fewer broken axle carriers... things like that. The arms give upon impact.

The only downside is that the arms and towers give quite a bit. Where most stock parts would bust and your day is over, you will find on rare occasion that the RPM parts flex so far that you get bent shock shafts or bent axles.

But, considering the abuse they absorb, a rare bent shaft or axle is much more acceptable to a basher like me than busted parts.

thank you telfon... it's weird i only see trucks with alloy they never say rpm..must be a new thing...

Nope, been around for many years. I've had RPM parts on my rigs for the 8 years I've been in the hobby.

Here's their site: http://www.rpmrcproducts.com/core.htm

A lot of online distributors sell their stuff. Most hobby stores carry their stuff as well.

The guys that have aluminum everything just say it's good to try and make themselves feel better about spending so much on it. ;)

It does look pretty though. I've had my fair share of aluminum parts. Typically core parts and not bits that stick out and catch fence poles and concrete pillars.

For basic bashing and just running around, RPMs are one of the best to have. The alloy parts add weight and look good, but are much more stable for competition since there is no play in them.
Personally, I like the bling.

Keep in mind that he doesn't drive his rig. I like the bling too, but it's RPM on anything that I actually drive.
