I have an air leak. Its right where the crankshaft goes through the back plate ( where the one way bearing would sit ) its definately coming from the hole the crankshaft is going through.

How do I seal that? is it the BIG bearing inside?

Might have to replace the backplate where the starter shaft rides.. or maybe try sealing it

Sealing it will do nothing.... cause its leaking at the rotating part. Replacing the backplate will do nothing cause its leaking at the rotating part.

They all leak a little bit right there. If it's excessive, replacing the starter shaft and backplate is your only option. Over time, they do wear and the leaking becomes problematic. Usually starts gumming up your OWB frequently if it's a "large" leak.
