BTW, let's see some vids of that bad boy getting some big air(5ft or so).;)

Posted one a while back. The last time I had it out.
Around 1:05 is a good 6 footer, shows the landing well. I had a buddy drive mine while I filmed, he's driving it at 1:25, 1:31 is another good one. 2:36 is me driving again. Another one that shows the landing.

Got a few good takes of 4-5 footers too. Barely any recoil once it hits the ground on those.

The guy with the revo is relentless... newbie with an RB jammed in that thing. Throttle only opened to 2/3's throttle and he kept it there for the majority of the time he ran it...

Anyway, those times are the aftershock jumps with 5-7 feet of air under it (best guess). Running with RC raven springs and I think I'm running 60 weight oil. I have just enough pressure on the springs to keep them from coming off the cups at full extension.

Also, should note that I'm running standard MT tires/wheels. That makes a big difference in the LST* landings. Taking away those big poofy tires also makes for harder landings, which I was trying to resolve with my setup. I hate big tires/wheels. Lots of rotational mass and extra arm/turnbuckle/axle carrier leverage for breaking.

I have yet to break my original axle carriers, c-hubs or steering link. I installed RPM arms within a week of owning the aftershock and with lunsford turnbuckles shortly thereafter. My only casualties as far as steering/suspension is concerned were stock turnbuckles and the RPM upper links. Which is why I went with lunsford.

Awesome vid there olds97_lss......the truck looks like it's handling really good good on all those huge jumps !

Jumpping in the " Field of Dreams " . lol Good video though .

Yes. The movie I was referring to, "Field of dreams" was filmed and plotted in Iowa.

The video (my video) was taken in Illinois.

Oh right, I thought that you meant the vid was taken in Iowa....I didn't know that the vid was taken in Illinois. - :hehe: So are you from Illinois or do yuo live in Illinois and where ? I used to live in Merrillville Indiana, near Gary, Hobart, Valporaiso and about 45 min. from Chicago, 1 hr. from Southbend, 2 hrs. from Fort Wayne, 2hrs. from Indianapolis.- :D

Isn't that half way between Mosingrable and Scenevis?

I'm not sure, I've never even hear of either one of those. - :\:D.....but if you give me 2 other destinations I could probably tell you if it's half way between them if I'v heard of them. - :hehe::p:

Let's not split hairs here guys. I was just making a funny refrence to the fact that it was filmed in a corn field.

Yeah, I know and that's all Indiana is...cornfields, no matter where you go ! We used to have a cornfield behind where we used to live back there(home).:D BTW, what the hell does "split hairs" mean, I've never heard that one before ! :hehe:

Have you changed the hex size to allow for running different wheels? And what wheel/tire set up are you running? I was wondering ,I have a LST2 with the 20mm hexes.

No, but the aftershock comes stock with 14mm hubs. I replaced them with alloy hubs and I use standard MT wheels with 14mm hex's.

I run old 2.5 t-maxx chevrons for general bashing. I have a few other sets of tires/wheels, all the wheels are traxxas MT wheels for standard MT tires (not like the revo). I spun my first hex last summer, but I believe it was due to the rounded corners on the crappy integy hubs. I bought some hot racing ones after that, they have sharper edges and are hollow on the face, so they kind of bite into the plastic.

I've run 14mm hex wheels for many years on all my MT's without many issues. I've only spun 2 or 3 hex's out, but it was due to rounded corners on the hubs as far as I could tell.

All that said, I've shattered 3-4 rims. I don't think a larger hex or rim (40 series) would have made much difference and probably would have shattered as well.

I changed the hex size on my LST2 to 14mm so that I can run the stock Aftershock Magneto wheels w/Claw MT tires. I also just ordered a set of the Cen GST 23mm wheels/tires w 23mm hex hubs to run on my LST2 off of ebay that should be here this week and I also have the stock Atx 20mm wheels/tires.

I've been running 14 mm hexes on all of my trucks ever since I got the first T-Maxx way back in 2000 and have only spun 1 wheel and that was because the nut loosened up .
