No dumb questions here. You're trying to protect the inside of the engine so there are a couple ways to do that probably the easiest is to take off the air filter and put some right down the carb and then turn the engine over to cycle it through the crank. You can also pull out the glow plug and put it sraight in that way but unless you clean really well around the plug you risk dumping grit and dirt into the piston.

Do you half to run after run oil in your engine if you are using fuel with Rust Inhibitors in it already.I'm running Monster Horsepower Trinity Fuel 20%.Thanks

Dont buy After run oil!!!!!!! Just use WD-40 Spray in the glow plug hole and carb then turn the engine over a few times. Traxxas recommends it!!

you could also use Marval Mystery Oil which is the same thing as ARO and it's only $4 a quart. I also use the carb method, open the carb to full throtle and drop few drops in there, then turn the motor over a few times and your good to go...

I've never heard of putting wd40 in your engine, on your vehicle, yes but not in the engine and i can't find where it says on the traxxas website that they recommend it

buy any Traxxas product, (T-Maxx ect) watch the DVD that comes with it and they say several times to use WD-40 instead of After Run Oil

use wd-40

drain all the fuel out o the gas tank.
run it (it should run 4 about 2-4 seconds).
take the glow plug out.
turn it upside down and turn the engine over a few times (pull the cord pull thing).
spray wd-40 in the engine and carb.
put the glow plug and air filter back in.
i dont do this cuz i live in colorado it dry up here.
u only have to do this if u live in a humid place or ur not gonna use it for longer than 1-3 weeks.

I just found in the Losi manual, it says ." pour a little WD40, or quality after-run engine oil into the carb...."

huh, I've been in this hobby for a couple decades, I've never heard anyone say that, ill have to try it out
