I have not seen any studies showing differences and I think Hobbico after run oil (ARO) is pretty standard. The cost is minimal for the protection you get by using ARO...that reminds me I need to put some in my Nova. P5....thanks for the reminder.

A lot of people use Marvels Mystery Oil for after run oil. It looks and smells like a lot of the packaged AROs. Some folks say they think that's what some of the AROs actually are. I've read that some of the engine manufacturers use MMO for their ARO.

MMO is about $4 or $5 for a quart and can be found at Wal-Mart, auto supply stores, etc. A LOT cheaper than $3 for a couple of ounces of ARO.

I have a friend who swears that ARO is ATF. Sooo when he's done running he puts a few drops of ATF in the motor. hasnt seemed to have an adverse effect.

You just need something that will lube and protect from moisture. Both ATF & MMO would be do this. 3in1 oil would probably work fine also.

Has Anyone Heard That You Should N O T Put Aro In The Carb Becasue This Is Bad For Th Eo-rings, Should I Only Be Putting It Into The Engine Via The Hole For The Glow Plug??
