Ok here goes. I picked up that Venom charger from the "Auctions" thread today. Heres the charger... ~~> http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6016914362&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MEWA:IT&rd=1

I feel kind of stupid cause I think it is only a DC current charger and I think that means it is only compatible with the cigarette lighter in most cars. Any know if that is correct? Any way I can modifiy it to accept either standard AC or hook up a DC converter in my home?

Further more, as some of you know I have been on the search for a good battery pack for my Mammoth. That last one I got just deosn't hold a charge long enough to get a decent run out of it, so I am on the hunt again. Back to ebay again for a quick search ~~> http://search.ebay.com//search/search.dll?from=R40&satitle=Venom+Battery+pack.

As we can all see there are several packs there. I am trying to power two high torque airtronics servos, nothing more. I am assumin ghte servos are rated for optimum OZ output @ 6.0 Vs Question is, witch one of the packs from up there would be completely compatible with the charger I picked up? Thanks in advance for any help

I am such a gimp when it come to electronics.

You could build a power supply for it from an old AT power supply from a PC. It'll out about 7.5amps or so, with both 12v and 5v outs. The overall cost is anywhere from $10 to $40, pending on how much you pay for the power supply. If you'd like instructions on how to make one, let me know; I've got them in an archive somewhere around here.

I have several old computer/moniter powercables laying around the house.

Question is tho, would it be safe?

It's very safe. You'll need the actual power supply from in the case. It's located where the power cord plugs in. You can tell the difference between an AT and ATX power supply simply by the power switch; AT power supplies have a rocker or 'push on, push off' switch that locks in while on, off sits a little further out (non-momentary). ATX's are momentary, like the reset button is.
