Friends, please take just a moment to read this article from Rick Reilly at Sports Illustrated. In summary, he talks about how close to 3000 children die every day in African countries as a result of malaria and how 60% of those deaths can be prevented by the simple use of a mosquito net.

He lists a link to a site where a $20.00 donation will cover the cost and shipping of a net big enough for a family to use. Just to make it easier, here's the link for you: http://www.unfoundation.org/malaria/.
I am merely sharing what I thought was an interesting article, given it's such a simply preventive measure. I do not work for SI or the UN Foundation, just sharing something I saw. Given most of us "older" folks have children, I hate to see kids dying when something as simple as this can help them fulfill their dreams.
