i want to upgrade my breaks. what are some good breaks. whats a good clutch system for the .21 vspec max. also a lighter chassis too. i race so a need a good setup. thanks
For a clutch I like the Mugen Aluminum shoes with 1.0mm springs. Seems to provide a lot of punch. Not too sure on the brakes, but I've seen some running Cradock brakes (i think thats what they are called). K Factory makes a nice half carbon fiber half aluminum chassis for the SP1 here http://www.maxxtruck.com/asp/ebproduct.asp?catmainid=559 theres also nice brake discs in that link.
i use the cradock brakes no brake fade even after a 30 minute main, for a clutch i like to use a fioroni turbo sliding clutch with the carbon shoes, fioroni also makes a nice 4 mm milled out chassis.
The cradock anti-lock brakes work really well & I've been using the Fioroni centax style clutch with 2 carbons & 2 teflons... If you haven't done so, switch to the SP2 blue springs & I would upgrade to the SP2 chasis as well.

Just to clarify, the aluminum/carbon fiber chassis is actually for the MBX-5.
On the clutch setup, I too like the Mugen aluminum shoes with their 1.0mm springs. On the note of hop-ups, one of the most popular 777 hop-ups is the K-factory hinge-pin set. This eliminates the e-clips and replace them with lock nuts so they do not come off like the e-clips. We should receive more of this item next week.
