Had another race this past weekend with the NTC3 - and finally remembered to bring a camera. Here are some photos of the race.

here are the bodies i use for the ntc3. u can tell by the body damage, which one i use most for racing. unfortunatly for me, i just sold all these bodies except for the sky blue one to MCvickj

stop thief!!! This is my best friend, Jason.
Here he is stealing my glow ignitor, i imagine in hopes of causing me to start late so he could win. LOL.

There was another state series race in Lakeland the same day, so my friend went to that and took my tent. Bastard! so here i am sitting in my pits, under the blazing sun.

Here are some photos of the second qualifier race. thats my car with the orange body coming around the turn. Finished 6th in this race due to a serious mechanical failure (broke a turnbuckle)

Here is me coming around the corner, in the B Main. Took first place.

here i am in the B main, pulling away from the pack down the back straight. fast track, pprobably pushing 50mph before having to lay on the stoppers for the hard left.

Again - me in the orange car, getting held up in traffic during the A main. Although i place 6th, it was a tough race, and was lucky to even get that.

Well - thats it, i have plenty more pics, but they are kinda the same thing. hope you ejoyed this thread!

Schweet :) Must have been alot of fun. Did they prepare the parking lot with some surface spray? It looks like a pretty new surface so i could imagine it was easy to have the car spinning out.

Thomas

scummer - no track prep. it has new blacktop that is about a year old - so yes, u better be good at drifting, lol. i run 30 shore foams, with my suspension about as loose as it can be, and still the back end comes around on every turn. and god forbid u wiggle the steering a hair going down the back straight........hello boards!

Hey NA,, did you take those with that camera we bought when I was up there? not too shabby for $10 and free life time film to boot! looks like a blast, but with my great driving skills, I would need a much larger and wider track!

Carl - yes - those are with that camera! thing was a great deal.

this is the track i have telling u to come race at. as u see, the pvc allows some give, so that if u hit the boards, u dont break things like u would at the kissimmee track. plus this track is much slower. the kissimmee track probably has an avg speed of about 30mph, this one is closer to 10-12mph.

Nov 2nd is the next race at this track. u better be there! lol

Very cool. Looks like you guys had a large turn out. Around here it can be kinda hit and miss. Are those pictures all from the same day? Looking at the 2nd picture you run during the night too. Is that correct?

MC - that was actually a small turnout - about 150 cars. Normally there is about 400 cars. There was a state race about 2 hours away that took most of the drivers away this month.

The dark picture u see was actually in the early morning, about 6am. We get there early to set up and get some practice laps in, as the race started at 9.

WHOA!!! 400 cars? Are you kidding? That is normal for a weekend race? If you guys are still running when we come down for the winter bash I would love to watch a race.

mcvickj - i told u that on road was alot more popular than offroad down here! lol.

there is actually an onroad race happening on the sunday of the bash at the big onroad track that i posted pics of a while ago. check the bash thread, i already brought this up.

Where's that new RCNT ball cap? It could have provided some of the missing shade your AWOL tent would have. And we could have seen you sporting your new hat.

Looks like you had some fun there... 400! cars dang.... pits a little crowded when that happens.. and 10 $$ for a camera that takes pix like that that is a hell of a deal......

Sky - i got my hat 2 days after the race! darnnit! lol.

Team - that track is where the race is on Nov 2nd. Nov 8th is the other track, permanent one in my gallery.

Man, after looking at those race pictures, it makes me wanna try racing my ntc3.

Too bad I can't cuz i'm hella behind in school right now...and i'll just chicken out anyhow.

nice pics NA

kwong - i dont get u. why the hell would u own a touring car and not race it? u can't really bash with them, that gets boring in 5 minutes. plus - races are always on the weekends, so school shoudlnt interfere. Trust me - there is always someone else at the track worse than u.

Especially when you race against NA :naughty:

J/K... yeah... if i could get a new flywheel for my RC300 i would take my oldtimer to the races too... but right now i have major problems. :(

Thomas

scummer - that would be great to see u win with that thing. Use it in the novice class, where u could just out drive the compitition. make those newbies real embarressed to see a car older than them take first, lol.

Actually NA, i've been slacking in the education department. I've had to bring in my pet this week for an emergency and didn't get to bed until late. Then it all started to fall apart and I'm behind in every class.

I've been doing the absolute minimum this week just to get by. Been trying to catch up on sleep in the process.

Bah.. excuses excuses....
Do you work full-time? Do you have 2 kids? 2 cars to maintain, because repair shops only fiddlesticks your cars up even more? A house to clean? And taking 3 classes in college?

And i still find 1 or 2 hours in a month to do some RC work.

Now get your butt in gear and race that darn thing.

Thomas

Well I don't have a job, did during the summer, no kids...i'm only 20, I do have a car to maintain but it's brand new so no maintenance other than installing new sound..do have to clean my room every now and again, I AM taking 3 classes in college right now.

But I AM too chicken to race so either way, i'm not racing.
