Just 2 questions for you nitro know-it-alls:

I know when your breaking in an engine and you use up a tank off fuel you should let the engine cool down before running it again, do you have to let the engine cool down once the engine is broken in?

And which is the best way of priming your nitro buggy before use?

Thanks!

You do not have to let it cool once it is broken in.

To prime, you can plug the stinger with something and turn the engine over. Be sure to unplug once fuel reaches the carb. Always best to use clear fuel lines to do this so you can see the fuel.

An easier way to prime is to just unhook the back pressure line from the exhaust and blow into it.

Don't blow too much or you'll flood your engine. Just blow enough that you see fuel going through the tubes. Once you do, stop before it goes into the engine. From there you start the engine (Pull start, starter box, EZ Start, etc.)

I do that as well. I know it's only a pull or two to plug the exhaust for prime, but I don't like turning over a "dry" engine.

Getting those little MGT primer bulbs is a pretty good idea to if your can find somewhere safe on your rig to mount it. They tear easy, but work well if you ziptie the ends and fuel line to keep the sealed.
