Two of my amps quit on me andI found the culprit on one of them, got it ordered but I need to know what this little guy is.
@Greywolf74 I know is a electronics guy but he isn't online right now.

Can anybody else tell me what this is?

It apparently is a voltage regulator but I'm confused as to which one to buy. @Greywolf74 helppppp.

To be honest, I'm not sure. I have found several here in the U.S. but no clue which one to buy.
Don't know how to read the lettering on it so not sure which one to buy.
I'm hoping Greywolf pops in soon, he may know for sure.
I think I found them.

so what letters and number did you come up with tunned?
Off the top of my head, I don't remember tnt.
One of the guys I talk to in another forum posted a screen shot of the parts used for a Bugera G5 and G20 so I just searched until I found them.
That dang Greywolf is never around when you need him lol.

Glad you got it sorted out.
Not a problem bro, good things come to those who wait.;)

I beleave the top number is what you need to know. There’s an “L” there and unfortunately the other characters are burned. Perhaps it’s L7920cv. Or L7818cv, those numbers can be cross reference to a modern component. The question might be why that component failed. There may be higher voltage getting to it causing a brand new one to fail as well. I wish you success in resolving this matter, maybe there’s a repair shop nearby or a guy on Facebook or Craigslist in your area that fixes amps and stereo gear on the side.

The manual says L7815 .
Thanks Jim, budget is a huge factor, I'm on a fixed income.
Looks like there’s some on amazon. I’d buy a couple in case the one you solder in goes as well. If that happens there could be a capacitor up stream that is leaking voltage upstream. Look for caps with bulging tops. Also look for leaking capacitors on the the other side of the board. Sometimes the electrolyte will leak out on the circuit board, shorting things out.
