Erick trusted me enough to paint a couple bodies for him so here's the first. He liked the look of the stock photo on Prolines site for this F-250 so I attempted to recreate it the best I could. It's pretty nice for the most part. The goldenrod color came out great. In person it's a dead ringer for the stock photo. I learn a few more things with every body I paint so I just wanted to thank Erick for the opportunity as well as being patient. I have a hard time finding time for stuff like this.. hence it being 2:30 in the morning..

Wow! Did you paint that for Proline??? LOL Very nice work Josh. May have to hit you up for a lid with all that detail!!

They need to hire you to paint their lids for them! It looks better than the one they use to advertise.

thats insane sweet job man wheres mine my revo lid needs some work lol nice job man

Hell I need to take pointers from you with the chrome..
did you use spazStix chrome?

Yep, that spazstix chrome. It's a bit more than a dusting though.. I don't recall howmany coats I did, but I was just trying to make sure it wasn't patchy (like my horrible silver, lesson learned). If I recall I'd guess it's at least 4 light coats. The bottle says the more you spray the deeper it looks.. I think the same goes for all the hard anno stuff as well. I havn't tried any of that yet though. Although I have some spaztix gold that I'm anxious to try.

not to hijack the thread but withthe chrome when did you spray it..first color or last .. or in the middle .. seems like when i spray it first i have nothing but problems...also what brand of paint did you back it with

The chrome was the first thing I sprayed. I backed it with Racing Finish Black when I sprayed the other black areas. I know Spazstix recommends backing with a waterbased paint but I havn't seen any issues backing with a laquer as of yet. Maybe it doesn't bond as well.. I can't say for sure though. I don't have any chrome on any of my personal lids right now to find out.

What kind of issues have you had?

Every time i back it with pactra black is flattens the chrome to a more alum. look
haven't sprayed it in a while i know they made a chrome 2 version of it ..guess i'll give it a try soon
