I'm trying to remove my rear arms to replace them on a traxxas bandit, but is soon as bolt comes out of the chasis and into the arm it will turn but not move up on thread. I was just wondering if there's something Special I need to do, I'm pretty sure it's stripped.

It sounds like the screw your using it too big if its not going in at all.....or if it goes all the way in and then just spins then its stripped.

It sounds like you just need to pull it out now. The hinge screw on the Bandit/Rustlers are only threaded near the head of the screw so it won't take much to have them all the way out. Mine have been slightly tweaked just about every time I take them off so I wind up having to pull a little more.

It's my first time removing the arms, so if its to big it was to big from the factory. I'm not trying to put them in I'm trying to take them out. The screw backed out of the grey tab on the chasis but once it hit the arm it turns but wont back out anymore. So yeah it's stripped, got any good ideas on how to remove it with minimal damage. Oh yeah thanks by the way.

Only threaded near the head of the screw sounds stupid but brilliant at the same time. Not doubting you here, but you'd think they would want some thread going into the end tab on the chasis. I'll give it a try tonight. Thanks alot bro.

Are you talking about this one?

It's like this because it's a hinge pin, the A-Arm has to pivot on the smooth part of the pin.

Yup that's it. Silly me, should've gone to the manual. I was doing this at 2 am it wouldn't come out anymore I give up and turned to the trusted rc source here. I do however feel like an idiot. Thanks alot though I appreciate it. Do you know if RPM sells rear arms for the bandit I know the front fit nitro sport and others but the rear ones don't say if they fit the bandit? I got the whole front end rpm but the carriers and I'm waiting on the GH aluminum blue bulkhead to come in at my lhs, and now I want to the rear all RPM. Got the towers now I need the arms, motor and gear covers.

I'm not 100% sure but I think you have to swap the rear over to Rustler specs if you want RPM arms, they're longer so you will need drive shafts and camber links if you go that route.
