I agree with Kwong2001, there's a big difference between "buy now" vs. starting bid prices. It's an auction, and this is why one needs to be careful shopping in Ebay. Otherwise, it's a great way to shop on-line, and you pay what you are willing to pay for an item. Want to learn more about Ebay, suggest go through the tutorial lesson, it's worth it.

Even if he is new, and all the more reason he is not getting a GREAT wholesale price, there is no way he would sell them even for 200$. He would be taking a BIG loss. What some of you may not realize is that there is not a lot of profit in this industry when it comes to RTR or even COMPLETE KITS. I would venture to say that the best prices LHS's are receiving now is going to be around the 340 mark. Dont forget they also pay shipping and handling on top of that.

This hobby makes its profits in the 'small parts' or 'hop-ups' arena. Guarenteed! I've investigated this from almost every angle now and that is what I have come up with.

I always run with the, "If it sounds to good to be true, then it probably is' theme.

Not entirely true...unless the seller displays the Purchase Protection 'shield' and/or is a Squaretrade member, you stand a very good chance of getting 'ripped'...unless a seller...#1...displays the 'shield'...#2....has no/very few negative FBs.... I dont bid....:>)...RCR

Not true, in the credit card world the buyer is always correct. With the guys feedback and possibly more then one complaint to Pay Pal, the money would be returned.

Just to insure, if anything ever happens to you like this, file the complaint with your CC company, they do a much better job on this then Pay Pal will.

Not to stick up for this underhanded dealer but, age of the dealer has nothing to do with pricing.

I have , many times over started T Maxx and Savage auctions for $1.00 no reserve on Ebay. Playing the game and knowing when it should end 99 out of 100 times they will end within $10 of my other buy it nows, if not over that price.

Your guess on the price is less on the higher side of the middle between the .25 and SS.;)

I was just running with 'average' wholesale pricing. In no way could I get 'Big Dog' pricing. Not any time soon anyhow.

I dont think I referenced age though.... hehehehe

Wardo...have you ever tried to get a refund from PP,from a NON-Purchase Protection member?...even when they are a PP member,PP only covers $500.....and the CC company pays PP...they have no contact with the seller....I have been through the whole process...only cost me $13 so I consider it a valuable lesson....:>)...RCR

not age of the person, age of the commercial business in question.

PP ='s Pay Pal.

If you can't get money back from pay pal, why not try your credit card or bank it was drawn from? Agreed $13 might not be worth it but for larger purchases it is.

You misunderstood...I tried to get the $13,PP said "can't help you.."...CC said that PP didnt 'steal' my $13 so I didnt have any complaint against them...like I said, dont bid unless the seller displays the Buyer Protection Shield, and then, its only good for $500 or less....:>)

What the hell CC company are you using????

I've learned a valuable lesson buying stuff on ebay. A guy was selling some RC cars on ebay for a great deal. Only problem was the old, I only except Money Order or Cashiers check scam. Stupid me sent him a Money Order for $200 for the whole shittin' caboodle. It has now been 2 months and nothing. I am fortunate enough to have his real name, phone number and address. I have also talked to his father on the phone, but he doesn't seem to give a poop either. They both just seem to procrastinate there asses off. They did send me a piece off crap nitro sport, but not the one that was in the auction. It's worth about $50 to me, if that. I keep getting the I'm on vacation excuse or I'm out of town till ? bullshit. I've learned, never buy with out PP. If PP won't do anything then your CC company can.

In closing, I might get into trouble for this, but oh well, he screwed me!!!!!!

Don't buy anything from VALTEAR!! He will screw you over in a heart beat. Even if your kids' x-mas depends on it, mine did and he screwed them over.

And VALTEAR & nitro_sport from CA, if you read this thanks for fiddlesticking up x-mas!

There's people that sell $1000 Dell laptops starting the bid at $.01 so it's not unusual.

Some people just get their business licenses and have just started to do stuff online. That explains zero feedback.

Could be a scam, could not be a scam. If he doesn't take paypal, I wouldn't bid.

Far as PayPal goes, If you use the E-check you prob wont see your money back if it is a scam. I know this has happened to me.
Use a Credit Card so if you dont receive your item you can call your Credit Card Company and they will credit you account back and go after them .
