I have a 985MG in my Savage X and last time I used it the thing was acting up bad.

From what I remember started acting like a dead battery, so I packed up for the day.
Next time I went out I charged it up good and went out and tried to used it and it's still doing the same thing.

I even plugged it up to another truck that was working fine and still it barely moves, what could be causing this?

Is the motor going out or maybe just dirty?

Thanks for your help!

I'm also in need of a receiver battery charger, I'm still using my stock traxxas one.
Whats a good cheap receiver batter charger?

Sounds like it may just be time for a new srevo, How old is the 985MG? I like my 7955TG its a great servo...

I'm not sure exactly how old it is but I havn't really used it that much sense I got it.
I don't think it is old enough for a $70+ servo to be going out already

Ok, well after a while the frustration wore off and I put it back together and tested again after cleaning with contact cleaner.
It still does not work in the steering port of my Spektrum receiver, in fact neither servo works in the steering port, but both work PERFECT in throttle port!

I tested the ports and all three(steering, throttle, and AUX) puts out 6.0V

Again the servos work fine, but not in the steering port of my Spektrum.
What could be causing this?
I have check EPAs and they are fine.

Problem solved and thankfully it didn't cost me a dime!

all it was was the Steering dual rate was turned to about 20%.

I know, I can't believe I didn't try that either, but I forgot about it.

Just posted this response so other people can possibly learn from my mistakes.

The servo and the radio gear was bought around April of last year, just looked it up online.
