ahhh good old alu plate.:hehe:

still waiting on them parts? darn modelsport, never seem to have anything in when you want it...

i guess your changing the gearing an upgrading the clutch shoes? as its gonna put a heck of a lot of stress on the clutch.

ill have to come round and see this 'beast' when its done:)

just outta intest, is the 3rd axle dismountable? so you can still run it as a standard sav?

the third axle gets used as the backend after i'v flipped the diff over its held on the same as the front 2 screws on the chassis and 6 underneath
the gearing will probably be 15 and 49-52 the 3-speed lowers 1st by 10% as for the clutch it will be the stock s-25 shoes, bell etc just so i can get it running then upgrade later on i'm thinking of that adjustable one where you just turn a screw to adjust engagement can't remember what its called

bring your hotbodies whatever it is you just got to replace the almighty savage

lol the almight savage, more like hopeless in my case...

when do you think you will have it done? ill bring my cam with me to take a video of it:)

a bad workman always blames the tools or car in this case

it'll be finished about 15 mins after the last part arrives

is it the cam we were videoing the rustler with?
also i'll have to break in the mill first so don't expect fast driving

no ill use my phone as its probably better than my digi cam..

I've got my hotbodies now, so just waiting on the last part, which is?

i'v got about 7 parts to come including the engine on about 4 different orders
and they will probably arrive on different days so it will be finished 15 mins after the last one of these parts arrives

i guess there out of stock then...

i did that and was waiting on a part from msuk, one plug for my maxx when i first got it i think it was, and guess what, it turned up last week!

so you maybe better ordering it from somwhere else if they have the stuff you want?

try www.microtechracing.com even tho they havent got a body mount that i need:flaming:, they noramlly have everything else...

i'll probably phone them up and see whats happening then give them another 2 weeks then order from somewhere else

Not really an update just a couple of pics with all the suspension and wheels installed oh and the stock tvp's

that thing is sweet as mate isit bigger than a savage sav it lloks like
not sure i'm reading this right but it is a savage and it is longer than the stock size the rear bumper of a stock size sav would be between the fuel tank and the servo

recieved 4 parts today
pair of lower arm braces
2 13t diff bevel gears
and the small ball thing which go in the end of the turnbuckles

now i'm waiting for a diff and the engine and clutch shoes there may be some other parts i'v forgot about though.

was able to sort of test the 4WS by pushing it along the floor it definately helps but the tyres grip the floor quite well so the rear tyres were sort of fighting the traction of the middle wheels so it should turn even better on dirt

took it for a test drive with 4wd at the rear
it steers very well with the 4WS has a smaller turning circle than stock so i can drive it round an object and be no further than 1m from it.
couldn't get much speed out of it because i was using some truckzilla clotch shoes cut down to fit the s-25 clutch bell so it was slipping excessively temped it at about 280 what a normal clutch temp my s-25 on the other hand was working perfectly running about 210.
i don't know why but when i drive it over bumps the tyres reming me of a snake crawling over rocks the softer springs really help

For a authentic BIG RIG look, you should look in to running 8 buggy wheels in the back in set's of 2.
