i'm am going to attempt to make my savage 6x6 i have ordered 2 sets of the stock diff covers which i am going to try and modify so there is an extra output shaft which will drive the rear wheels which may be steerable so it would have 4 wheel steering as well

L wheel--- F Diff --- R wheel
¦
Gearbox
¦
L1 wheel--- C Diff ---R1 wheel
¦
L2 wheel--Rear diff--R2 wheel

however if i am unable to mod the diff cases whith what tools i have this project may not continue hopefully i am able to as i think it would be quite cool to have the only 6x6 sav

just recieved the parts and am in the process of marking out where to cut looks like they are going to be easier to mod than i thought now its just whether i can keep a steady hand with the dremel

Posts pics once you get started - I'd be interested to see your work as you progressed!

Good luck with it.
I saw a 6x6 Tmaxx once on Radio Control Hobbies. They didn't show much detail. Mostly just a clip of it going around the track.

gallimods.com
has the conversion for the maxx

got a 2 week easter holiday at the end of this week so i will prob start properly then there will probably be a gap of maybe 3 weeks after i finish the diff housing got to help my dad build a conservatory then order the other parts for the third suspension diff assembly

succesfully modded the diff so it fits toghether now i need to continue to mod it for diff gear clearance
i'll post pics on sat

Check out this MGT!

so your plan is to leave it stock length and mod the center to have 4 outdrives?? 2 to front and rear and 2 to the side?? sounds complicated!! I'm very interested in how this comes out!!

Sounds like a few of us are going to be interested.
Wheres the pics? Not something I would do but I think it would be cool to watch come together.

What happened to the guy that was making his own truck? Made one and was working on another. Then came the big divorce and he was trying to sell them so his X couldn't get them. "Pie Wagon" ? Was that the name of one of his trucks. That guy had some real talent. Hope everything worked out for him.

I could swear I've seen a 6 wheel savage somewhere before... dont know if it was 6x6 but it def had 6 wheels. I'll se if I can dig up the vid somewhere.

gonna order this engine do you think its a good engine
http://www.modelsport.co.uk/?CallFunction=ShowSpecification&ItemID=23060

which means i can go back to the shorter chassis so the 6x6 will be about an inch shorter

the HB .46 is ment to be discontinued or something so the parts i need for it are gonna be hard to get

nearly finished all the custom parts just goto finish the plate for the steering on the back wheels

also has the gallery limit been decreased when i uploaded pics of the diff housing it said i had -2??.??kb remaining and is there a way to delete certain pictures without deleting them one at a time

just remembered i'v got a webshots account have to see if its still active and if i can remember the password

it still works probably post pics tommorrow
how do you want the pics each part seperate or assembled

Forbiden for me, but the pictures above work. Little small, but they work.

Like it was said before, photobucket.com is free to sign up. But, http://imageshack.us/ is also free, but also free of sign up (just upload pictures, they give you link, no 'sign in').

i'll probably have a permanent gallery on webshots then when i'v finished i'll tell people how to get to it at the end of this thread then use my rcnt gallery for quick uploads to threads
