it seems obtaining the 500k silicone diff oil is next to impossible... any suggestion for a similar viscosity? can i use automotive grade gear oil or grease? thanks...

I've never even heard of 500k. Wow. I just bought some 100k for my 1/8 TMaxx diffs and I couldn't believe how thick THAT stuff is. I had never even heard of 100k until I was researching what people were putting in these upgraded diffs I bought.

It seems hard to get the Traxxas stuff but my LHS carries another brand of 500K.I think its Kosho but I need to look at my bottle.I will get back to you.If you need it call Hobby Hut in Audubon PA or I can pick ya some up and ship it over. The 500K is what I like in the center for sure but for my basher(that I sold) I was going to try the Bad Horsie stuff that I picked up.Its thicker than the 500K.I thought I got an email from buytraxxas.com that the 500K was back in stock.

Kcyosho 500000 silicone oil everthing else is written is Japanese so ?

Ofna also makes a diff loc that has no weight marking but is really a goo.Like the Bad Horsie but mabey little lighter but thicker than the 500K.With the Jap 500K in the center the front tires don't turn into pizza cutters and in some situations the Revo will carry a bounce wheely accelerating off the jump landing.I like the F50K-C500k-R20K
;)

I just bought Kyosho 500k diff. lube for my E-Revo and have yet to cram it in. Cost me friggin 16 bucks but if it does what my LHS guy says it will, it beats the hell out of a spool.
