I found a 4L bottle of rc car fuel, its my dads. The sticke on the bottle was tor and dirty and i couldnt see the percentage of nitro, but there was a part of the sticker that clearly said 5% 2-stroke. What does this mean? and would it harm my T3.0 engine in my hpi rs4 evo 3+ ????

cheers

Is the bottle still sealed or has it been opened previously? Do you know how old it is?

Its pretty old, i'd say a couple of years. And yes the seal is broken. It was probably last opened a couple of years ago aswell.

I wouldn't use it if it's that old and been opened. I don't know much about the RS4, but most RC's that I've looked at suggest 10%-30%.

Agreed Nitro fuel like Gasoline does go bad over time, Except nitro goes bad alot quicker.

If was stored properly, I'd try it. The fuel I have now for my truck is over a year old, and I have ran 3 yr old fuel. But as they say, your results may vary, run at your own risk.
