I got my 4x4 slash today, I really like it, I think so far its my favorite electric rc, I beat the crap out of it already An didnt break anything!:D

Congrats on the new rig! I love mine! There are a few pretty weak spots but for the most part they take ALOT of abuse and perform great.

Pick up a couple packs of spare axles and wheel bearings. The rear axles are a weak spot.

Also, threadlock the upper and lower screws on your front hubs. They are not threadlocked at the factory and will eventually work their way loose. If you lose one, the screw is the same one as the upper shock mount screws on the 2wd slash.

The front and center drive hubs are pretty weak, Id pick up some spares of them as well as a spare pinion, they are weak too. And things like rear axle carriers.

BTW this only applies to the Platinum Slash. No need for threadlock on the regular Slash's plastic hubs. :hehe:

Any idea how the Slash compares directly to the SC8e? I know its not a fair comparision, but both on my radar, so need a comparision. I watched the videos and the SC8 looks to be the most reliastic handler. Drives like the real truck.

Yes it handles more like the real thing that is because it has a center diff. The Slash does not. Well I think the Plat. Ed might.....not sure. But I do like my Slash a lot but would be happy with the SC8 if it had been out at the time I got mine.
