I'm waiting on parts to arrive for my new slayer build and i was going through the stuff i have here and found a new traxxas 40mm flywheel for bump engines and was wondering could i use this on a non bump engine without any adverse effects??
i havent weighed the 40mm wheel but it does feel lighter than the stocker would that make the engine more free reving or am i better off with a stocker

sorry mods can you move this to the nitro section

As long at the flywheel fits the engine and clutch you want to use and doesn’t hit the chassis theses no reason you can’t use it.

Lighter weight flywheel will allow the engine to spool up a little quicker than a heavier flywheel. A heavier flywheel will tend to hold a more consistent low idle than a lighter flywheel.

Unless there is a big difference in weight you probably will not notice any difference.

Got pics of that slayer? I seem to be one of very few people with one, besides u lol.

haha havent got the parts yet....getting real impatient
