40 Million customer credit/debit cards stolen from Target

Sweet. We buy a lot of stuff from target.

Target had known security weak point a couple of years ago. They had an easily breached WiFi network with a single password. This network allowed access to the servers and to monitor the credit card transactions to the point of even being able to get the information normally stored on the magnetic strip on the back of the cards. I haven't used a card at Target since found out.

This is why you should all shop at Wal-Mart! Plus it's good for my stock options :D

lol I agree, Walmart FTW!

Just another example of how crappy people truly are.

My new card just arrived today. I got hit with a fraudulent charge about a week ago. Doing some research, it's a Virtual office located on the 59th floor of the Empire State Building. $75 a month gets you a mailing address. There are conference rooms and offices you can rent for an additional $45 an hour to scam the bigger fish by pretending it's all yours.

Well crap. The ball and chain just spent a substantial sum there last week. Guess I'll be going thru all the crude again....

Target is saying to watch your statements and if something is wrong to contact them.

Tis the season for theft. Credit card scams, auto break- ins at the malls,
and in my neighborhood, assholes stealing packages from people's front porches.

Don't even get me started on Wal-Mart. That company has done a lot more harm to people and communities single handily. Thanks but no thanks.
