I have a chance to get a brand new 3PK for 225.00.
I have used the M8 for many years and like it. I have been looking at replacing it with the M11 but this great deal came along. I will be switching to a Spectrum setup no mater what I choose.

What I would like to know from folks that have used both radios is….

What do you think about switching?
What do you like about the 3PK over the M8/11?
What do you like about the M8/11 over the 3PK

I tried an M8 but my "Ogre" side just felt like it was a wimpy peice of girly man trash and got the 3pk.....it also helped that I already had Futaba RXs for all my RCs already.....but mine just stopped sending signals and my 3pm stopped having rev function from the TX so both are on there way to Futaba for warantee / repair.......I hear that is more common w/ Futaba over airtronics.....I see em 50 / 50.......

FYI there is a new 3PK with a few features added on.

I have felt both and like how the 3PK feels. It feels more centered for me and the wheel is thicker or at least it was when compared to the M8. They're close in features but it's mostly prefrence.

I would of choose the M11 because of the nice vibrating feature for re-fueling and a few more things but the new 3pk has added it on and feels better for me.

I found the helios to be up there too, it's probably the lightest radio with the M11 being the heaviest.

FYI, Nomadio Sensors are as low as $400.00 new on flea bay right now. No need to buy Spektrum (or add on telemetry model for that matter) if you go that route.

Seriously, a radio that can tell you the temperature, voltage, and speed of your car real time, that has 40 freakin model memory, is fully software configurable (vibrate if this, beep if that, assign this button for this or that), has less delay than any other radio type, is lighter than any other controller, and comes with its own battery pack is a pretty good deal.

EDIT: Please don't flame me for not picking a M11 or 3PK. I figure if you are going to spend the money anyway, might as well suggest the king of the hill, top dog, slayer of all competitors, R/C controller instead.

EDIT AGAIN: Here it is to drool over (no its not my auction, though I would buy it if I had the dough):

I'm seriously considering picking up the Nomadio unit.. I've ready so many great things about it...

I am waiting for it to hit $300.00. Once it does, I will own one. I even e-mailed Nomadio to see if they would sell me a scratch and dent unit.

You can't compare it to any other radio system. It is just beyond, period.

Nomadio rocks! What I like is, when there is a software update, all you have to do is download it from their site to your computer and then upload to the Radio. You don't have to buy all new stuff like Spektrum.
For $400, it's worth it!
