Welcome bud to the rc mad house first of all... I did that conversion my self thrers a thread. In here T/E maxx build,, tmaxx emaxx mash up. There's also a video of the first run here and YT "StonerRC365" I used a castle 2200kv monster 2 combo it has more programmable settings ... and it's awesome.... tons of tourqe and power.. I put the Revo 2.0. Trans in my Tmaxx and everything worked perfectly...You could also go with hobby wing maxx 6/5 and their 2200kv motor... I'm only using 1) 4s lipo instead of 2) lipos... any ? Just PM me or post up... will be glad to help out

Castle Mamba Monster 2 or Mamba Monsater X ESC and the Castle 2200kv motor get my vote too

If the e-revo trans is a drop in, that would be a good starting point. Even the 1.0 wouldn't be bad for a 4S conversion (motor plate isn't as strong and no center diff like the 2.0). Then any 150A esc and 4074 1800-2200 motor should do fine in it.

You will likely want to upgrade the diffs though to have the e-revo v1 diff cups/internals/outdrives (not sure if you can use just the cup, would have to compare parts explosions). The e-revo diff cups use inserts for the x-pin as well as a i-bar brace (instead of 2 pins and 4 spiders). Without upgrading those, they likely won't hold up for long with brushless power. So best to just take care of them now.

v1 e-revo internals: 5382X (spiders, out drives, i-beam, x-pin
v1 e-revo cup: 3878 (cup, seals, shims, x-pin plates)

You can try and just get by with the cup only. That will at least give you a stronger cup with inserts. Pretty sure I rebuilt one of my nitro's with that cup... it's been a couple years.

Used to be able to get fully built/complete e-revo diffs off ebay for $35 or so, but now all I see are ones for the 2.0 which are way bigger and won't fit.

You could go mildly expensive and get the castle MMv2/2200kv combo, basically what came in the 1.0 e-revo (MXL-6S esc/2200kv 4074 motor):
https://www.castlecreations.com/en/...aterproof-w-2200kv-motor-sensored-010-0108-03

Pretty expensive would be the MMX/sensored 2200kv 4074 system:
https://www.castlecreations.com/en/mamba-monster-x-sm1515-2200-010-0145-03

Or go a little cheaper with a hobbywing 150A esc and motor:

https://www.hobbywingdirect.com/products/ezrun-sensorless-brushless-4274sl-motor?variant=4766601540

Or go with any of those esc's and get a hobbystar motor:

Or you can stick with the stock transmission and diffs, then go with a 150A esc and a 3670/3675 motor that has less torque. Not sure how well that would do though.

Or go cheap and try something like this off ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/124281234587

I think the cheapest I'd go with would be a decent take off from a new Arrma vehicle:

Now i have another question for my project. What is a good spur and pinnion gear for a revo conversion.
