I was wondering what to do with the extra space the new exhaust left me with... how about a 250cc fuel tank. Ofna part#40269

thats one beefy tank LOL i guess it would be fine thats anout 25cc over 4 times the size of my fuel tank LOL but then again think about the weight would add

i bet it sounds cool tho. i remember running open header with my .21 , it sounded sooooo awesome flying up and down the street. too bad it kept stalling.

Fuel Tank

Sorry guys I guess I should have warned you about the exhaust. I know most of you don't agree with the look or believe that it actually works, but it does. I used a restriction in the pipe to achieve the needed backpressure. No stalling problems so far and the extra fuel means I can run for around 40 minutes.

What kind of restriction did you use??

Also, which Ofna buggy is that?

Buggy

I soldered a small disc in the "T" fitting inlet with a hole in it to restrict flow. The buggy is an Ofna Ultra Pro with a Force.26.

Buggy

The buggy pulls so hard that I can't hold it back. It wasn't like that before I changed the exhaust. Forget about the way it looks on the outside, copper pipes, it has a mechanism to keep the proper back pressure so that the engine makes lots of power and the fuel keeps flowing. I know I'm new to this sport or hobby or whatever it is, but my engineering and computer background helped me to workout the design before I ever built it. I wouldn't put a device on my Buggy to ultimately slow it down. Would you? I'm sorry if I offended your idea of how an exhaust should look or work. My mission in life is to challenge the world around me. Nitro cars are the next step in that mission. Besides that it's kinda fun.

I think it's pretty sweet looking myself....and if it performs better than before, more props to ya.
Just wondering, but what did you cover it black with?

Well said and sweet looking ride. Didn't mean to offend you in any fashion. Always challenge the common thought process's. It's just that 90% of similar exhaust on the "market" or custom are pretty much worthless. WOuld love to c vids of that thing in action.

Peace

It is high heat BBQ paint. The key to making high heat paint stick is good surface prep and as soon as it can be safely handled, baking in your oven on 350F for about an hour. I will paint items on old ceramic floor tiles so that they can be put into the oven ASAP. This is a technique a guy taught me many years ago. I work for General Motors, and now I'm the teacher.

Yeah man, any chance of some vids of the buggy screaming by? Or possibly just some sound clips of that exhaust?

Buggy

I will record a video and the wicked exhaust note this weekend. You know guys, This post started out about my new fuel tank. 250cc vs. 150cc:shrug:

Exhaust

You asked for it... here it is. A recording of the exhaust note. I had to zip it so that it would fit. They won't let you upload mp3's.
