Just bought a 8ight t roller, had a rtr version. Not sure what size engine to install. I am fairly new to the hobby and would like to here some peoples thoughts. My local hobby shop owner thought a dynamite platinum .28 would be a good engine for a "reasonable" price. What do you think.

Yes, I have herd good things about them. For racing I would recommend a .21 engine for milage but for general bashing I would go for the .28.Who doen't want more power?

Are there any other engines you would suggest taking a look at?

Personally, I think a .21 has plenty of power for a buggy, but that Dynamite is a sure winner. It's basically the same engine as the OFNA/Picco P3-28 that so many people rave about. Definitly a screamer from what I understand.

The Dynamite Platinum .28 is a great mill. I have one in a Revo and it is a beast.
Yes it is reliable and relatively easy to tune. Of course its illegal to race it but for bashing go for it.....

.28 is legal for a truggy.
I suggest a Jammin .21 or .28, all the engine you'll need. Best power to dollar ratio out there. I'd go with the .21 for the 8T, the 8T is not that heavy. I have seen one in action, it flies!
They'll kill a Platinum .28 on a track. The Platinum .28 is a SH engine, it does perform good but it has terrible fuel mileage.
I have seen 4 of them die around the 4 gallon mark in experienced hands.

+1 on the T thing. Was thinking buggy for some reason.
The jammin JPX is by far the better mill, but the Dynamite is the budget concious one (over here anyway)
can't talk on economy, just bash with the Revo.

The JPX and the Dynamite are both 200-230 bucks over here.
