Hey guys, you were right. Took my .26 out and had it screaming down the street. Until sparks came flying out from under the body and my steering locked up. Hit the curb doing close to 50mph! suprisingly enough the only thing that was really wrong with the truck was the CB again and the slipper (both torn to shreds) Oh and my steering servo had worked its way loose. The real damage was to my fiances Tmaxx 2.5 which made it about half way through a 8ft backflip before gravity kicked in (I don't think she'll let me play with it anymore). All said and done It was not a great day for my trucks or me. If I didn't like fixing them so much I'd say I picked the wrong hobby!

Your gear mesh is crucial when running these engines. If they are not set properly, then eventually they start to warp themselves out and then you are back to a ride that sits till you fix it.

Please post up pics...

Already got the .26 up and running replaced the metal spur gear with a 70 tooth plastic and another hardened 20 tooth CB. I haven't gotten into the 2.5 yet but I think the Tranny is screwed. I'll look into it today, lucky for me I do have a spare transmission but I'm hoping that I don't have to replace it.

If you are going to run the standard spur, I would not run the hardened CB unless you have mesh properly set. I like to reserve the hardened CB for Steel spurs only.

I got about a paper width between the CB and the Spur gear. Is that about right or do you have any suggestions

A piece of regular computer paper and then press them together with the paper in between is perfect. Any pics of the carnage?

Couple on my phone don't have the right hook ups to get them on my computer quite yet. I've pretty much got everything fixed. Took a few before and after shots of it will try and get them on tomorrow.
