I have been to 2 different tracks wince last Wednesday. The first one is called HOBBY CHAMBERS . This is an INDOOR track located in West Haven Connecticut. It's a small track designed more for technical driving instead of all out speed. As of now, it has an 11 turn track layout with a small back stretch. The boards are UNFORGIVING! of course there's the all and the boards in he middle of the track are of 4x4 comstruction with buttons on the end.

You will break something, pretty much gauranteed but there is a hobby shop on the premises. Otherwise bring parts especially servo's, suspension parts, bodies and wheels. BTW, foams are the needed here. It's an asphalt track but sprayed down with sugar water for stickiness. Rubber of any kind will result in tracktion probs.

The second track I went to is called Prospeed Raceway. It's located in Middletown, NY. They rent out the parking lot of a school every sunday. Great set up and road rails are used more than boards on the inner track. The track changes week to week but click HERE to see pics of the track and more info about them including driving directions.

Here is a link to a video I made of when the club first went up there. They also have it on their video section ... Linky

Those are Nitro tracks. If your looking for electric carpet indoor, try Potbellies in south jersey,
and South shore hobbies in seldin LI.

Do you have to pay to race @ Prospeed ? My friend and I are thinking about stoping buy.

$18 for the first entry class and a few dollars less for other class entries afterwards. The $18 includes transponder rental.

A word of advice, you WILL have to retune your car a bit because the track is roughly 300 feet above sea level. Also, make sure your car is in good running condition. There is only a 1 minute grace period after the 5 minute interval between races. If you're not ready they will start without you. Bring plenty of parts that might break because there is no hobby shop on the premises.

We were there yesterday and had a blast! RCNT swept 1-2-3 in our class.
