They look nice ,but sometimes it is best to keep the originals ,besides ,aluminum may just redirect the impact
to another part an create damage else where!... 👍
Yup!! Your right I need new gear now. Is there anyway I can move the pinion gears closer to the spur gears besides moving the engine to the side?

Or is that the only way to do it b6 unscrewing the screws from the bottom and moving the engine

Do you have the screw on pinions gears that screw on a threaded clutch bell?
That is what I use ,they can be spacers & shims put in!

Here is a pic of a threaded clutch bell with the colored gears!

The one in the middle of the bell?

I move the bell back & forward it has a little bit of play. before I tighten up the screws from the bottom engine mounts or had already shaved off the edges of the gear now the whole gear is shaved lol. I went for a couple of runs and the gears just slip now. The screws are not loose on the bottom could it be because it had some existing shaving?

So the mounts I have it’s like your picture but with an extra space that the engine mounts too

Here is the original engine mount that are for the Ofna street car ,they are compatible
with most clutch gear configuration ,they also have 2 extra holes on the bottom!

The last nitro Touring car I had had similar mounts

Also ,they were most popular for different gear changes for the track ,in the racing seen people
changed different size tooth gears ,hence the threaded bell!

I want to try different gear ratios in the future with this thing. I had two other two speeds I remember the first one was stolen out of my car the second one I crashed it bad & sold it I regret doing that poop

What I would do is ,start from scratch ,locate some adjustable engine mounts ,an find a new clutch bell gears ,because
if you dont ,you will only be stripping the 2 spd spur gears an they are a pain in the rear to change all the time ,that is why the threaded
bell came out ,when people wanted to change the gearing ,they only had to screw off the bell gears an screw the new ones on real quick!..

I was looking at this the other week

I dont know if those are slotted!

Those are worth paying for an keeping them in the pkg ,they are rare an Hardcore is the best
aftermarket parts manufacture that ever came out ,they dont make RC parts any more ,the
Hardcore company moved on to making parts for racing motorcycles!...
