2-Speed Electric?!

I was reading an online manual for an electric car, and it said that you can get a 2-speed kit for it. Is this true? I've sucked with 2-speed cars anyways, but is it true you can put a 2-speed on an electric?

A 2-speed will work with an electric.

My Revo brushless conversion is proof of that. Same goes for my EMaxx brushless conversion.

In the EMaxx, 1st gear was useless and had to be removed since it would just flip onto its lid.

It works on the Revo since it uses a clutch bell, but I dialed out 1st gear since it would basically shift almost instantly since it spools up so much faster than a nitro. I am going to take the tranny apart and remove 1st gear entirely if I can.

wish i could have something like that in my usa-1 electric. actually just brushless would probably be enough to rocket that thing!!

Oh okay. What sucks is I have to sacrifice reverse. I can't live without reverse. I guess I'll just change the gear combos to make it faster.
