2 Disk or 4 Disk???

As I have been building my K3 I noticed that it is a 2-disk brake system. The K2 is a 4-disk brake system.
Do you guys think it is worth putting a 4-disk system on the K3? I already have the Hardcore titanium parts for a 4-disk system.
I don't know why Kyosho would have gone down to a 2-disk system. I would assume that a 4-disk system would work better, but don't know for sure.

I too noticed that. I think the general trend is away from over braking and I think that's why they sent a 2 disk system. A semi-pro here local and another friend of mine said that they run just enough brakes to control the buggy while it in the air.

I finished my K3 yesterday and took it for a spin topless, and the brakes are very effective out of the box, probably more than you might think. But IMO, drive what you're used to if you've had a 4 disk setup before, or try it with 2 disks and if it's not enough for you, put the HC titaniums on.

That kit is badass at any rate. I really like mine. Did you have problems with the spur side drive cup pin on the rear diff? The ones that came with mine were about 1mm too long and were a pain to get installed.

Actually I was thinking on the brakes that it would be less wear on them as each one would be supporting less load. I don't plan on having them set so tight that they will lock up the wheels on high grip surfaces.
Everything that I have assembled so far has worked fine, except the HC aluminum rear brace. It seems the hole is a tad long, (about .010" or .020") but won't hurt anything. It also has two holes drilled and there is only one hole drilled in the chasis, (HC titanium chasis). You would think that HC would include the counter sunk screw and a nut to attach the brace end to the chasis, I will have to go to the LHS to get some screws. It looks like a work of art so far. I will hate getting it dirty when it's done. My engine won't be in till the end of the month, so I am taking my time building it.

No you won't. I ran mine today, and it's a pure joy to drive. I put my old Hyper 8 port in mine (temporarily) and man, it's so smooth. The L.S.D. in the front is pretty nice, especially in the straits. Dial in some expo on the steering and it's like it's on rails. And handling in the air is a dream. You won't mind a bit getting it dirty. Trust me.
