Your on the right track bro. Use compressed air to blow it out if it's available. If not, just rinse it out good. Read the tuning tips and tricks at the top of the nitro forum. It explains sealing engines in great detail. You will most definitely want to seal your engine before installing it.

yeah i was gonna bring it to work tomorrow and blow it out. hopefully ill reseal it next week and get it ready for the maxx. also i was reading about raising compression and i read longer glow plugs r one way. is that a common thing done to the 2.5r or should i leave it as is? it has plenty enough power for my driving but a little more wouldnt hurt

Since your engine requires a long glow plug, you can only use a short plug to effect compression. Which would obviously lower it. The piston would hit the plug if a long plug was used in a head designed for a short plug.

makes sense. hopefully today i can fulyl finish cleaning in internals of the block

well that cleaned it out and the bottom end moves freely but on the crank it looks like some kind of film is peeling off. what could that be?

yeah i got home from work a few hours ago and the fuel it soaked in all night was instead of being blue was a brownish blue with stuff floating around so it definately cleaned it out. and i poured new fuel in and already let it soak for the rest of the afternoon and am gonna let it sit over night.

That pealing off is just the old fuel that has turned into enamel more or less. All the methanol evaporated leaving behind the baked on oil that has also dried out creating a coating on things.

Make sure to take that thing complete apart and clean it when your done soaking it. Will probably be some enamel build up up by the wrist pin of the piston and in the oil inlets on the conrod and crankcase towards the front bearing.
