Ok today I finaly got to burn a little I mean minimal amount of nitro for the first time in damn near a month and a half. But I made the decision to break out the old 2.5 and give it a whirl. Fire it up take a couple heat up runs up and down the street, runing good around 250 and I headed down to the park. About a half a tank in it started to run really SH**y. I was like what the hell now. Brought it in and the motor was smokin, I took a temp reading and damn near craped, 350. :wtf: So I richend the heck out of it and nothing helped. So after 4 gallons I'm finnaly calling it quits with this P.O.S. 2.5 mill. Its going straight to the trash! Ever since I got this thing its given me trouble. Now I'm going to rip my 3.3 out of my race truck and run that in my basher. And a os.18tm is going in the race truck. As far as I'm concernded I got a bad egg as far as a 2.5 goes. Some of you may rember my previous probles with it. I belive its a air leak but the hell if I take that thing apart again!:ha:

O man I just pulled out my 3.3 and switched out all the parts, and droped it in. This thin looks sweet and I fixed my throttle linkage problem so there should be no issues anymore. I can't wait to go home at lunch today and try this thing out. But if I have one tuneing problem with this mill I will know that it is the Trinity pipe. I just can't wait ill take a pic later, before I break anything.

What do you mean the trade in program? You mean the traxxas replacemt program, I dont know beings its a year old. But Idk at this point. But what I do know is that the 3.3 in a 2.5 chassi is the bigges differnce I have ever done and one of the best. This thing cooks now and pops wheelies in the grass all day long. LOVE IT! I would never go back to a 2.5 but if I could trade that peace of crap in and get another 3.3 for like 90$ give or take id jump on it in a heart beat. I tried to take a pic but the all turned out shity! So if anyone is looking to put a 3.3 in there truck it is a direct drop in performance upgrade, and with the trinity o man hold on!;)

Maby when I feel the need and have some spare cash laying around but as for now I'm set. I ran another tank around 5pm and I'm just lovin this setup! It pulls wheelies every time in grass and tomarrow I'm going to through on my pin bash tires and see what happens with more traction. I need a new body though today when I was acting like a little kid with a new toy I pretty much put the nail in the coffin with my stocker body. I'm going to get one of those new proline prepainted one beings its just a basher. My 3.3 will get a custom pait job though can't wait.

Don't throw away that 2.5! Traxxas will replace it. Send it off and keep it as a spare for the basher.

Ok so today I got all the necisities packed up and headed to the local highschool to do a little bashing. Go to start my 3.3 and noting, pull and pull and you know pull some more. So I finally get her started and set it on the ground and go to make some warm up runs. Thats when I stated to notice it had no balls at whats so ever. I tried nailing it and it just kinda took off real slow even though the mill sounded strong. I was like what the hell. My girl friend was there and I wanted to prove I'm not a dumass spending all my money on these things. So I got home like a hour ago and pulled everything apart. I took the trany out and looked inside thinking that it was stuck in second but everything was the way it should be. I looked at the clutch and it looked ok. What do you guys think? I'm stumped at this point for the first time in a long time. I think I'm going to try buying a new clutch and springs see what happens. I looked at the spur gear and there was a little nich on it so ill replace that even though it can't be the problem. Its weird yesterday I'm poping wheelies and having a blast and today noda. Makes me loose faith in traxxas, and makes me want a savage more and more when poop like this happens!

Does it roll freely when you push it?

I had one get rusted up wheel bearings after it sat for awhile... it wouldn't move either. I sprayed the bearings with a shot of wd and they loosened up and lasted awhile.
 
Thats what I started to think with the slipper, but how tight do you set it? Olds it can't be the wheels because I just drove it yesterday. Freakin pisses me of man, I was so looking forward to showing off my new mill to everyone today and all I did was make them say what a loud peace of poop:nope: ! O well maby next saterday I can redem myself. I'm goin to buy a net set of clutch shoes tomarrow and see if that helpes at all and ill also try a new spur even though I know thats now the problem.
