About a month ago I finally splerged and bought a new Savage 25. Yesterday i got to do the first run after break in where I really got to rip on it.. Man this thing is awesome!! I've had 2 different T maxx's and one with a .21 hyper 8 port in it, and MAN not even that thing (After dropping a grand into it) could hold a candle to the stock 25. This thing is AWESOME! The power that was instantly there is incredible! It kinda pisses me off though that I wasted that much money on my Maxx and hopping it up to get less power and speed than I could have gotten right off the bat with just buying one of these instead. I had almost forgot how fun it was to Rc, but this thing had a smile on my face that only a kick in the junk could remove. Felt like a noobie again. :)
Just thought Id share my lil story with ya... I'm still a little giddy over the whole deal... its been a Looooong winter..lol

Yeah, I have one and love it very much to! And the best part is they take serious amounts of punishment and just keep on going.

Gotta love a Savage!

ROFL!! i smiled that way when i got me savage too. HAPPY RACING

Welcome to the Savage club brother! My story is almost like yours. I was going between the .21 conversion for the Maxx and the Savage SS. Getting the SS was cheaper and the best thing I could have done.

Congrats bro I just got my savage too I am going to finish breaking here in tomarrow after a trip to the LHS..

I will be feeling the same way in a few weeks I will be getting my savage soon I hope I will tell how it goes

There was nothing worse than having to sit and look at a brand new savage with not a speck of dirt on it, and look outside and see inches of crusty snow and puddles... Man it sucked.. Even now I still have to watch when I run it, cuz theres still alot of crusty snow and when it flips, Id imagine itd be pretty easy to break something being cold outside still and the snow and ground frozen..

Why dont you just baloon your servo and receiver, then you can run it in wet/snowy conitions with no problems?

And dont worry about the cold affecting the plastic parts, it`s of a high quality and does not go brittle in the conditions I have driven it in.

Look through the Gallery, you will see a lot of pics of Savages covered with snow.

I know that, I'm just not going to, because it IS harder on some of the parts when ya roll it. Also I'm in Mn. where the high for like the last 3 months has been like 20, so I'm not really down for freezin my balls off, so I can break parts on a new truck..Thats just me.

i've already seen a lotta trucks since i got back into this stuff. and i'll say racing or smashing around, this will always been the last truck standing when all else has broken.
