1st body with my new airbrush

What are you using for a compressor?

The reason i ask is cause my friend purchased a small compressor and airbrush as a kit on ebay. At first, we thought the airbrush was defective or something. The paint would not come out even, and had a problem spattering. Turns out that the comressor couldnt run at a high enough psi which caused the spattering. Hooked up the airbrush up to my larger craftsman compressor, and ran it at bout 45 psi. It made a world of a difference. Much more smoothe and even coverage, and took care of all the spattering.

I have a regular gararge aircompresser that does like 150 psi, but it has a regulator so it is cranked way down.

Very nice job. The paint looks great, and plus, you can't go wrong with the C6 Vette!!

One more question for ya. Do you use a clear/ protective coat on the boddies after they have been painted? If so, what do you use? I've been lookin for a good product that will keep the paint from chipping, scratching easily, ect. Thanks!

cobra198, I have been using a white cover coat by Pactra (Testors). It realyy finishes up nice and brings out the colors. It is also suppost to help againt chipping and protect the paint from fuel.
