I just bought the 18ss engine to replace my stock 12ss on my
RS4... Do I need to modify the drivetrain to handle the extra hp ? The only modifications I've done on the car is Universal Dogbones front and back and threaded aluminum shocks... Has anyone droped this engine in this car ? Did you like it ? Thanks...

ewhat version of the rs4? do you have the 2 speed transmission? if you have a 2 speed everything should be fine. i have the rs4 evo which is pretty much the same as the ss and they say its a direct drop in so from what i know you should be fine.

Yeah it is a two speed... RS4 3
I can't wait to put this engine in... I've got to burn out
my 12ss first...

if you want to kill the .12 just run it ultra lean and soon it will be toast.

Your right ! I don't know why I didn't think of that... duhhhh...
me stupid... Spare engine it is... sorry, no free engine

The center drive dogbones might suffer from the power of the 18ss, I've never dealt with that engine personally but my OS .15cvrx put a hurtin on the stock dogbones. I upgraded to HotBodies center universals and it cured the problem.
