1/8 scale xtm mammoth 4wd with .28.....HELP PLZZZ!?!

.. about half of the time when i gun it, the engine will rev high and it seems to kick out of gear and be in neutral until i let the rpm's rev down ...then it goes back in gear and propells the truck again.. it acts like the tranny is slipping as a real car would. but dont know if that is possible in a rc..i would appriciate any help u guys could lend....thx!

May be, but it sounds like you have overleaned the HSN. Richen it up and see if it stops. Then get your power back by leaning the LSN.

I had that issue with mine. Never really spent any time to figure it out, but it's the two speed assembly that's doing it. Either there's a shoddy OWB in it or it just doesn't hook up right. I wasn't as "seasoned" then as I am now, or I would have probably fixed it. At the very least, figured out the problem. As it was, I replaced the two speed with a single speed center diff. This helped with the weak front/rear diffs as well, which that rig is known for.

hey, i havent had much time latley to mess with it but i finally found some time today and i set the hsn and lsn back to factory settings.... and it will not go in gear at all...engine runs great but no acceleration at all....

i wonder if olds.97 might be right and it is a 2 speed problem (?a bad owb?) i dont even know what that is.....i need help plz? i miss my truck and so does my daughter...lol...
