Thoughts? I saw some vids, look to be 4wd. Brushless "should" be sweet, need to be a hell of a motor/esc/lipo combo to be sick though on such a big rig...

As stated in vendors thread, What electronics does it have? They are really vague.

Yeah I didnt see a brand, just that they have a "960kv motor" and "150A esc". I'm pretty sure I'll stay away from it.

Considering how much room you need for a 5th scale, I'd personally rather have a gasser. All the cool stuff about nitro rigs, without the ridiculous cost of nitro in my area ($50+ a gallon). Not to mention, if I'm spending that kind of dough, I'd go with a well known name to ensure no hassles with after the sale support for a long time to come.

I agree.

5th scale is for gassers. Making one brushless is a waste IMO. Just look at the Castle conversion for the Baja. By the time you buy the conversion kit and the LiPo's to power it, you could have yourself a second complete Baja. Plus, unless you have a second set of LiPo's, you will have a lot of down time between runs. With a gasser you just keep add fuel after 30+ minutes and keep on going and going and going.

Agreed..the lipos alone will kill ya, unless you buy them from hobbyking, or hobbypartz..

I just saw that Castle Creations has a new brushless ESC/Motor combo for the Baja 5 family. It is supposed to get about 10 minutes of run time and uses 8s2p battery packs.

Your wallet has to be as big as the car to go electric. A nice 26cc gas hell of alot of fun at alot less money gas&go!:whhooo:
