Oh lessen, wood working tools are always a must in ever mans tool shed......that's basic construction tools man.....lol...I guess I grew up in a very Do it yourself family.....you should get a short / long level....trim saw, good drill and jigsaw at the LEAST to do the track.....when you say differnet plane you are talking a dynamic drawing that is true 3d??? or just like a defined window for a fixed plane???
I'm old school A-Cadd, I just use LT for printing jobs and turning Floorplans into bitmap backgrounds for graphic pages......I'm learning Rhino to make 3d images now...WAY COOL program.....

My tool collection is like non-existant except for a few items. Actually, I do have a entry level Craftsman 10 inch table saw. My wife just bought me a nice 18v Dewalt drill for my B-day a couple weeks ago too :) Sweet....

anyways, I guess that would be dynamic. it will allow me to use a "dynamic" camera view in which I can can rotate and turn my drawings in 3 dimensions. i'm always confused about what 'true 3-d' is anyways. I know LT really isn't a 3D program however I can draw wireframe in 3-d, that is, I can draw on a Y,Z and X,Z plane as well as an X,Y plane. Basically, I can draw the wireframe of a box and turn it in any direction I want to view it at any angle I want. to me that's 3d, but I'm self taught so that may not mean much, heh.

ran into a construction issue. I need to modify the exterior perimeter a bit so it will end up a little larger than I posted. good thing I caught it now though....:)

I'll try to post a picture of the progress soon...
