Earlier I posted this question. It’s a pretty simple yes or no question. I come back a few hours later to two replies. One yes. And one no. 🤦‍♂️

I used my buddies tunealyssr once. You don't need to de solder the wires. Just need to put the banana plugs on the a b and c tabs, it works with the wires on. And the sensor wire. Just need to take off the pinion so you don't get your finger cut off 🙂

Now we know which one of them was the correct answer.

As for FB, when I got home in 2011, all of my old high school buddies were telling me I needed to get on there, to reconnect with all my high school friends. It did not take long to realize most of them were discussing things I had zero interest in discussing, thus I deleted my account and haven't been back.

Yea I got rid of mine in 2014 or so. Set up a new one last year when I got back into RC. It’s really the only way to keep track of track schedules and events. I wish like LiveRC or something had a place for that that people actually used. Every track is tied into them for timing and scoring. Why not scheduling too?

2014 is around the exact same time I deleted mine. There are some shops that I was thinking about buying things from, but they only have a FB storefront, so, unfortunately, I never purchased them. I do wish, like you, that some of these folks who only use FB for their business, had, at least, a publicly accessible storefront, or in your case a master list of schedules.

I have so many bans for stupid stuff. I just look at stuff now
I currently have an Instagram account, which I only have so that I can moderate for another forum, a lot of posts on there are embeds from Instagram. I have, literally, not ever posted on there, not a single one, regarding anything, and I just got my account unbanned for the second time last week. Since having that ban lifted, in just the last few days, I have already been notified twice of "suspicious activity on your account", that I should change my password, which I have done twice in the last month, using NordPass. Nordpass is included with NordVPN, and it creates a really long password of jumbled characters and numbers, that I could never possibly remember, and I am used to having to remember crazy passwords, having had TS-SCI and Q clearance jobs, where to have your password documented anywhere will result in suspension or termination, and it is polygraph verified.

So, if anyone doesn't believe that those sites ban people for no reason at all, they have no idea.

Our "local" RC track ( a very nice place ) ONLY uses facebook to notify people of race dates, track maintenance days, and park closures (county park.)

Only ONE TIME did facebook show me a notice from the track before the event. Usually I see notices 3 to 4 days too late.

Singel channel comms with your customer base is a good way to limit your market... which makes it more difficult to grow your business... silly thinking, I think.

My last 30 days happened with a messenger message. I sent a meme to a long time friend. She and i send funny messages back and forth all the time. It was some kid with his hands on his waist and said i ain't got no netflix. So it banned me for child things. It wasn't porn or anything amd it was a message between two friends. ever since then i have been locked out of a bunch of things. I'm not even posting anymore just liking things. I just use it to keep up with things in life now.

I barely used Facebook, and I ultimately deleted my account when they wanted to start stealing other people's photos. I only joined up to post in an MAR group.
