Did you say that once before and I missed it? If I did miss it, the I appologize for repeating...

I've been trying to watch this thread like a hawk. Guys with the means and the skills like you make this hobby a fun one watch others be a part of. Watching other people race/bash gets old, but watching someones thoughts come out of a mill and create a truck never gets old.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the kind words!

I may have mentioned about a partition in a previous page or maybe even on another forum....I don't remember. Alzheymer's, ya know. Best thing is that I can buy stuff for myself and still be surprised! :D

I probably won't be doing much more on this one until I get my new milling machine.....This one.

Well, after getting the shock mounts brazed in, I did manage to get it up on all 4's:

You might need a longer wheel base to keep it from doing wheelies.. I think 10hp would wheelie a 5ft long one though... Man, that looks killer!! How is that Pie Wagon!?

That thing is awesome so is that milling machine i bet u got some crazy nice tools, Great Work!

I can't imagine trying to control all of that power lol

Neither can I!!

Well, here's the latest update, a 600cc fuel tank. Carved from a block of 7075....for strength and milled to .046" thick, making it very light.
(the tank isn't mounted, it's just sitting between the rails for fit)

RC Jack: Thanks for posting the link to here on the mini mill group. I missed seeing the updates on your projects.

I had no idea that you were even over on those machining boards. The EZ board seems like a morgue over there, which is why I'm here and on a couple of other ones. At least there's life over here! Besides, there's just too many sub-topics over there. Almost any & every part of an RC vehicle and most every vehicle has it's own sub. Won't be long before there's a sub on WIRES; what next? WIRE COLORS?

Looks good, but I thought you were going to put a divider in the tank to create "two" tanks? Decide not to?

Nope. Gonna use check valves.

:OMG: That fuel tank is HUGE! Looks great man!

Thanks, cvec7. The tank has to be huge, after all, it's feeding both engines. At 300cc/engine, it'll have a decent run time.

Ya, cause when you think about it, you could probably get about 10+ mins run time on a savage 160 cc fuel tank w/ one of those engines....

Be careful using check valves... I tried that once and it just flooded the crap out of my engine all the time.

That thing is going to be AWESOME!!!

You could have pressurized the tank too much, so, I'm aware of using check valves. I might even go with a fuel pump & regulator. We'll see....

Latest update:
The last of the major components is basically done and mounted. Sanding & buffing will the last stage, which is why most of the aluminum parts still have a "rough" finish.
If you noticed, I used small pieces of sponge, (from an aircraft wheel), mounted between the tank mounts & brackets, (to absorb shock & alleviate stress from the weight of the tank/fuel). When this truck undergoes the final build-up, I'll make those sponge biscuits more concentric and better fitting.

Danm dude, that thing is looking awesome! The tank is pretty damned sweet! The whole truck is nice! You gonna enter this into RC Nitro too?

Very nice truck - The fuel tank just looks, well, awesome. After seeing the closeups of the shocks, they look a lot better than previously thought.

I dig that fuel filler neck! I would really love to see your trucks in person. They are masterpieces. :worship:

RCJack = almighty RC god
what's the Estimated time of completion....holy crap that is too cool....every part you show us is just amazing......nice work (again).....
