What is your final gear ratio going to be? that trans doesn't look like it is a massive gear reduction and I know that you are going to be turning some massive tires.

have you had time to do some new stuff to it?

How 'bout this? I don't know what 10hp will do to this chassis, so, rather than find out, I made an eng/trans subframe to contain the torque.

Theres that guy! Looking good jack. 10HP is a poop load of power.

Hey have u been able to get any thing else done on your sexy patroler?

Haven't been able to get much done, but... Right now, I'm working on the suspension, experimenting with shock placement & length. Not gonna use cantilevers on this one.

I like the overall look, but considering how much you've already custom built, aren't you gonna go with some massive custom shocks? Keep up the great work; this truck is a true work of art.

That thing is lookin nice have u got the tranny and all that stuff wrapped up? suspension looks nice hope you get it figured out the way u want it to be.

LST shocks are the way to go to complete the "BIG" look. Its looking great man.

Well, there's not much that I can provide as far as dimensions goes, outside of a 15" wheelbase, 13+" track, with a width of 18". The frame is 17" long & 4.5" wide, made from .250" steel tube.

As for the 10hp, 2 engines will provide that. Both CEN 46's, which will be here 2moro. They'll be mated up to a 2-speed transmission. Right now, I'm hunting down a 220-250cc fuel tank, rather than run 2 seperate tanks, or I'll make an aluminum tank. BTW, this truck will be a "little bit" more powerful than PIE WAGON. Not looking for a lot of top speed; just an exhibition truck that'll literally tear up the ground under it!

Try using a model aircraft fuel tank, a lot better in size availibility CC wise, and a damnsite harder to puncture or break them. They are designed to take high force impact from greater heights, specifically because they are designed for flying models.

That is exactly what i was thinking!!! Maybe even some custom made bigger shocks!!! That would be insane! Its comin' together! Awesome work Jack!

I saw some of those at my LHS and they are much too big, diameter-wise. They'd look out of place and off-balance.

No, while the trans isn't done, the business part of it is; still needs to be finished. What remains is minor milling and aesthetics. Right now, I need to to get it on all 4's and experiment with the suspension. When I'm "satisfied", I'll tear it all down for final finishing.

I thought of using an aircraft fuel tank, but, this truck cries for an aluminum tank, so...... I'm figuring 300-500cc. What I need to is find out how long a Genesis typically runs on their original tank and go from there.

Wouldn't using one tank give you flow issues with two engines? If your going to make the tank, it may be best to put a divider inside the tank so it's one big tank, but really acts as two.

Just a thought.

I'm pretty sure that you are right about that which is why the tank will be partitioned.

Did you say that once before and I missed it? If I did miss it, the I appologize for repeating...

I've been trying to watch this thread like a hawk. Guys with the means and the skills like you make this hobby a fun one watch others be a part of. Watching other people race/bash gets old, but watching someones thoughts come out of a mill and create a truck never gets old.

Keep up the good work!
