Yet another way to water-proof your servos

ok well I've been exsperimenting with this for a few months and seems to work good. I've been trying this way because i dont like the idea of dipping my servos in plasti-dip (I've tried and didn like the out come much) I've also did the ballon way i like that way but some water will still get in. What I've been doing is packing my servos with lithium grease especially around the servo horn and also under the bottom plate putting a generous amoutn when i do so I've been havong very good results doing this exspecially with the servo that switches fwd/rvs. I havent been able to keep that thing dry by any means and so far I've had good luck using the lithium grease. It may be messy to do but i think its worth it.

The best way to water proof your servos is to stay out of the water! lol Just kidding
Sounds like a good way, but if water does get in there you won't know because the grease will hide it and then stuff will start to corrode.

Servos are normally water-resistant right from the factory. I have never ruined a servo and I used to run in snow, mud and water. It's the receiver that I keep worrying about. I have ruined two receivers from moisture. It's a real pain wrapping them in little baggies and doing every other little trick. They need to start making water-resistant receivers.

I know I have read people reccomend putting a baloon around it and then packing a bunch of lithium grease inside the baloon.

Wrap your receivers in the foam and then zip tie them. Should keep you PLENTY dry. I'm agree though, the should just be water proof. Like most ESC's!

Good tip on the lithium. Still though, dont go swimming and you shouldnt have a problem.

I've never had a prob with my reciever its always my servos but havent had any probs since i started using the grease for the reciever box i also put lithium grease where the box closes and load up the opening where the wires go in

Double Down...pack w/ grease & use a balloon....

I use silicone with a balloon and zipties. I don't have water issues, but I always have glitching. Stupid maxx.

Balloons are the best IMO.
