Well i took the Inferno to work today to run in a grassy area behind the building during lunch. I set up a small ramp at the top of the hill back there and was FLYING. The top of the hill is about 15 feet above the flat area. After hitting the ramp The buggy must have been a good 20 feet off the ground!!!
Because of the grassy flat area they were nothing but soft landings. BORING!!! So I start getting bold....start hitting the ramp at WOT and was getting closer and closer to the asphalt parking lot. On the last jump I made it about 20-25 feet from the jump at the top of the hill all the way to the asphalt. This was NOT a soft landing. So NOT soft that the buggy immeditly lost control and went WOT down the parking lot.
The good news: it only went about 50 feet.
The bad news: The reason it only went 50 feet is because it was WOT into the huge steel garbage bin.
After inspection it seems I only need to replace the following:
Upper A arm
Lower A arm
Hing pin
Dog bone
Shock body
Shock shaft
Shock spring
Lower spring clip
Ball cup for steering linkage
Right side mud guard
So it shouldnt be tooooo expensive to fix but boy was it fun.
Moral of this story.....
If your not running a hump pack, make sure to zip tie your batteries down into the battery holder....AND....put a throttle return spring on your ride...a strong one!
