Break time

The only things I had done prior were to replace the Losi motor with a Titan 12t (wanted to try it), upped the pinion to 17t, added RPM rod ends. And I robbed the shocks from my Speed-NT.

Started this about an hour ago, did some organizing first, but here's the tear down:

Showing the body because it will change too

Last look of what it once was

Removed Titan 12t and Losi ESC, and tires.

Remove front end

Replaced steering bushings with bearings

New STRC Steering Bell kit

Yea, we're already talking about adding the class at the track. Obviously though, we'd have to introduce two classes for it though. Stock and mod. I may jump in, we'll see what happens.

And last, but not least, redecorating!

Front tires are stock, rears are AKA Enduro Super Soft on DE Racing wheels. Those tires are so soft, they stick to my hand!

The motor is too powerful on a dry track in a 2wd, and on a wet/tacky track, the NiMH batteries are too weak and don't deliver enough power, so it cuts out constantly, and I had to switch back to stock for Sunday's race. I'm picking up a LiPo this weekend when I get paid to try it this Sunday.

Got LiPo! Picked up one for now. I was going to race tonight, drove 30 minutes to the track, when I realized the transmitter was still sitting at home. I would have gone back to get it, but I had too much to do to get ready to race, another hour of driving would have set me back too far.
