Xxx-s belt tension

I just got my ebay score of a losi xxx-s roller for my wife. However the belt was not installed. After installing the belt I can not get the slack out of the belt. I'm getting frustrated with this car already. I've scoured the interwebs for info but not much out there. It came with the yellow belt. It was a rtr version aka sport lol. I had the same version many moons ago however never had this problem any help would be much appreciated

I still own and run several xxx4 versions . I switched to the green belt years ago. the belt does stretch with use.no fixing the older belt..might take some digging and searching but some still are floating around sorry can't pin point you to a belt..
