RPM front bumper and an RRP monster diff gear and boca grean seals all around. I'd only suggest replacing the hub carriers and the pivot blocks with aluminum as those are the most often broke parts when I had my nt. The RPM bumper really helps keep your front arms intact.
Also, upgrade the bushings in the steering with bearings. It will make it more responsive and it won't be so prone to getting sloppy.
Niftec makes a really good setup for the diff as well. A little pricey, but smooth as silk. Combine that with an RRP diff gear and it will be damn near bomb proof.
If not niftec, I know someone makes a diff nut that incorporates the plastic crappy thing and the miniature aluminum nut into a one piece chunk of aluminum. I kept braking the plastic thing or stripping the nut. Once I got that "chunk of al" and the RRP diff gear, I never took my diff apart again for about 4 gallons. The only reason I took it apart that time is because the diff housing got busted in two on a really bad tumbling wreck.
So, end story without going niftec is to get the losi carbide diff balls, the nut thing (hammand ghumand maybe makes it?) and the RRP diff gear for the trans.
