Ok silly question....
How do I take the wheels off?
I had the entire front end apart and could not figure out it out. I wanted to take them off so I could clean things up.

One other questions...Is there a special way of putting the (I think they are called) Camber Rods arms and Pivot Balls. Part#B4020. http://www.overdriverc.com/proddetail.php?prod=LOSB4020
When I went to put it on and tighten it up the ball came out, and I broke one of the Steering thing.

The smaller one.

If I can make that any more cryptic let me know.

So do I tighten it until its snug? How do you install the ball?

Thanks

your XXL wheels have a hub cap type thing over the hex nut...there should be 6 little hex bolts in each wheel holding the hub caps on....

hope this helps

You take the ball and center in the cup, then pinch it with pliars to pop it on the ball. You put a bolt through the ball and it just threads into the arm and holds the ball-cup onto the arm.

Your not supposed to use the screw to actually push the ball on the cup. That happens before you run the screw through. There are tools for it, but I just use a pair of channel locks.

Yeah...I removed the 6 hex bolts but I couldnt pull the hub cap thing off...I guess I should try a small tweeker to kinda help lift it.

Cool..Thanks

Good to know...I'll have to try that when I get the parts. Thanks!!

Ok...new question....When I flip the xxl upside down There is a little bar that is connected to the servo (I think thats what it is) and the small Steering thing. The part I wast to disconnect has a small ball joint that is connect to the steering thing. How do I disconnect the ball joint from the steering thing?
What is the correct term for that part? I'm guessing Steering Bellcrank..?

Thanks

The ballend just pops off. Can't recall how the ball stud is mounted on the bellcrank though. Might just be threaded into the plastic, but there might be a nut on the topside of it.

EDIT:
Yeah, looks like the ballstud just screws into the bellcrank arm:

You are the man!!!
One more question....I know the never ending one more question...

How do I adjust the front wheels? My left front wheel points a bit to the left, and the right wheel looks very straight.

Just turn the turnbuckles that go out towards the wheels. They are threaded so that when you turn them, they either shorten the distance between ball ends or lengthen the distance. This allows you to adjust the "toe-in" of each wheel independently from center.

I wouldn't bother with adjusting it until you get it all back together and have your radio turned on and servo centered before adjusting.

While you guys are talking about steering stuff, you might want to look into BAC steering link. That's the one connecting the steering bell cranks together. BAC will change your steering geometry a bit and allow your front wheels to turn more. On top of that it's much stronger than the stock one and comes with a lifetime warranty.

Funny you say that....I just ordered one the other day.

Yeah, I really should get one of those... maybe this winter as I'm thinking about swapping out my 2 590's with a couple JR126M's, so I'll have to tear a good portion of it apart anyway.

don t listen to all that complicated jibberish ..
use a hammer and massive pair of pliers !
OK seriously all that LST Talk really make me want to get one .MUST RESIST ARGHHH
