I have not ran that buggy, but I have owned the first XTM buggy. It was a tank, never broke that thing. Didn't handle that great. From what I read at the globalhobby forum, the new buggy is just as stong, but handles better. The 24.7 engine it comes with is great, good power and easy to tune. If your looking for a beginner buggy, I think the XT2 would be a great choice.
My buddy has an 8ight and he isn't the best driver but he get's around the track pretty good and I was with him all the way. I guess it's all comes down to the driver..
