I decided to go with the xtm slider clutch for my savage ,the only problem I ran into was that the clutch bell is now right up against the spur gear,Its like the motor needs to to go back just a tad. Any suggestions would be very greatfull.

Is your flywheel sitting too far out? You may have a collet that needs to be milled down a bit. Snap a pic of your set up and that will clear things up.

Yea basically the flywheel is to far out.So I can take a couple of thousandths off the brass collet that the flywheel sits on? if so that is what I will do.I do have enough room between the motor and the flywheel to be able to do that.

Take some pics if possible. Take little by little off not a whole chunk. A little can go a whole lot!

Well I ground off some of the collet and it worked out for me.I also notice that my spur gear has a slight bend in it as well but everything works good .

So thanks for the info ot was greatly appreciated.

If there is a bend check your spur gear for wear on the slipper or even improper alignment or installation.
